“Anyways” Campaign for Instagram
As a Senior Copywriter at Gen Z–led agency JUV Consulting (Acquired), I supported messaging strategy and copywriting for Instagram’s “Anyways” campaign, targeted to Gen-Z’ers to “stop being scrollers and start being creators”. Drawing on my background in psychology and Gen-Z experience, I helped shape copy that addressed Gen Z’s digital-age anxieties, specifically the fears that hold them back from creating content, such as imposter syndrome and peer judgment. I provided a messaging strategy to get Gen-Z to post it “anyways”. The primary stars of our campaign are Rosalia, Tyler. the Creator, and Cole Bennett. I also crafted notification copy for Instagram’s Creator Lab (creator companion app), explaining and navigating users through new tools.
Match Group Start-Up App
I was brought on to develop initial copy, brand voice direction, and messaging guidelines for a new live streaming app under Match Group, referred to internally as “LSA” (Live Streaming App) before naming. The app was designed specifically for Black and Latinx creators seeking their own platform with a core audience of young millennials. I collaborated with an experienced and highly professional team to build the foundational messaging framework, marking my second time crafting the brand voice and copy for an early-stage startup (the first being with Gel Dating, where I developed brand voice guidelines alongside other founding members).
